Ms Wendy Ovens (BSoSi, MSc(TRP), DGNM) joined Right to Care in 2015 to start the Planning Department to collate and analyse statistical and geographical data to identify future key areas of growth. Within 4 months she was promoted to Managing Director of Right to Care Health Services and Member of the Executive Committee.
Ms Ovens has over 20 years’ experience in rural and urban planning working with government, not for profit organisations and running private business in South African and the African continent. She was a Director for Information Communications and Technology company for 3 years before starting and directing her own consulting practise. The practise operated for over 13 years focussing on project management, urban and regional development, policy creation and improvement for local and regional government projects.
She was a member of Gauteng Demarcation Board for 2 years and the Municipal Demarcation Board for 5 years. She is a Registered Professional Planner with the South African Council of Planners. Ms Ovens has individually and participated on multiple projects that have been recognised both national and internationally.
